Syrian Army recaptures town in southern Aleppo after swift counter-assault
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a swift counter-assault in the southern countryside of Aleppo, today, targeting the towns Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham captured from them over the last 24 hours.
Led by the 3rd and 5th legions, the Syrian Army began the day by attacking the town of Abisan from their positions at nearby ‘Azizah.
The Syrian Arab Army would manage to infiltrate Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s front-lines this afternoon and recapture Abisan and its corresponding hilltop.
Following the capture of these sites, the Syrian Army shifted their attention to the town of Al-Ramleh, which was recaptured by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham on Wednesday.
Sporadic clashes are taking place outside of Al-Ramleh, but the Syrian Army has yet to fully storm the town.
