Dozens of Saudi soldiers killed in mass Houthi attack on the border
Dozens of soldiers were killed and wounded in the ranks of the Saudi Army and allied militias after a surprise Houthi raid on their positions south of the Midi desert which is located in the north westernmost corner of Yemen along the border with the Saudi Kingdom.
A military source confirmed to Al-Masdar News that the assault on the Saudi forces in Midi led to the destruction of four military vehicles in addition to the killing and wounding of dozens. The military source added that five Zilzal 1 rockets struck Saudi gatherings in the region alongside intense artillery bombardment.
Even with political strife that devastated the Yemeni rebel coalition in Sana’a, the Houthis have managed to maintain their presence on Yemen’s most demanding fronts.
