Syrian Army launches ferocious assault at strategic hilltop near occupied Golan Heights
For the second day in a row, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has stormed the strategic hilltop of Tal Maqtoul in the West Ghouta region of Damascus.
Led by their elite 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Army attacked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions at the northern part of Tal Maqtoul; this would result in a fierce exchange.
The Syrian Army is currently trying to fight their way up this hilltop, but the jihadist rebels are making it very difficult to break-through their lines as they resist all attacks.
Tal Maqtoul is the last hilltop before the town of Mughar Al-Mir; if captured they will have fire control over this aforementioned area near the occupied Golan Heights.
