Syrian Army storms last terrorist stronghold near Golan Heights
Earlier today, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has launched their fourth attack on Tal Marwan this week, striking the eastern slope of this strategic hilltop located near the Golan Heights region.
Led by the 42nd Brigade of the 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army unleashed a flurry of surface-to-surface missiles on the hilltop to start the attack.
Following the missile attack by the 42nd Brigade, the Syrian Army stormed the eastern slope of Tal Marwan, where they were confronted by a large force of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants.
No gains have been reported thus far.
The Syrian Arab Army needs to capture Tal Marwan in order to force the jihadist rebels to surrender their remaining positions in the Beit Jinn pocket.
