Syrian Army kicks off 3rd phase of Beit Jinn offensive
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) kicked off the third phase of their Beit Jinn offensive, today, following the capture of all the hilltops and farms located north and south of Mughar Al-Mir.
Using surface-to-surface missiles and ATGMs, the Syrian Army inflicted a powerful blow on the jihadist defenses this afternoon, paving the way for their forces to storm the area to begin phase three of this operation.
According to a military source, the Syrian Army’s missile assault scored several direct hits west of the Beit Jinn Farms; this attack managed to kill several militants from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, while also destroying a vehicle fitted with a 23mm anti-aircraft machine gun.
In response to this massive assault by the Syrian Army, the jihadist rebels shelled the government-held town of Harfah, killing two civilians in the process.
The Syrian Army is now demanding the jihadist rebels surrender all of their points in the Beit Jinn pocket or else the government forces will storm their positions and not give them the same terms of surrender again.
