Syrian Army Establishes Fresh ISIL Hunters Unit in Hama Province

The Syrian Army has set up a new unit of ISIL Hunters, elite forces of the army, in Northwestern Hama to join the pro-government forces’ operation against terrorists in the province, well-informed sources said on Monday.

The sources said that the army managed to establish a new unit of ISIL Hunters in the town of al-Saqilebiyeh in Northwestern Hama after the ISIL Hunters attained significant achievements in war on terrorism in the country.

The sources further said that al-Saqilebiyeh is home to one of the largest units of the National Defense Forces (NDF).

Relevant reports said earlier this month that ISIL Hunters Battalion tracked and targeted a group of ISIL terrorists that had kidnapped and executed two Russian volunteers in Eastern Syria, killing the entire militants.

A Russian websites quoted the ISIL Hunters as saying that the Battalion identified and tracked a group of ISIL terrorists that had kidnaped and executed Roman Vasilievich Zabolotny and Grigory Mikhailovich Surkanov, two Russian volunteers, in early October.

Also, the ISIL Hunters announced in a statement that the Battalion carried out track and target operation in Deir Ezzur and managed to kill the entire abductors of the terrorist group.
