FM: Iran ready to manufacture cars, tractors in Senegal
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with Senegal’s Parliament Speaker Mustafa Niyas in Tehran on Monday underlined development of relations with the African country, especially in manufacturing of cars and tractors.
‘We are ready to cooperate with Senegal in manufacture of automobiles and tractors as well as exporting them to the neighboring countries,’ Zarif said during the meeting.
The Iranian foreign minister, meantime, voiced his readiness to visit Senegal in his upcoming tour of Africa.
The Senegalese parliament speaker, for his part, deemed his visit to Iran as important and called for continuation of economic cooperation with Iran, in particular export of cars, and sharing Iran’s experiences in agriculture sector, including export of tractors and also export of harvesting machinery to that country.
Niyas also asked for Iran’s support for Senegal’s candidate to become secretary general of inter-parliamentary union.
