Syrian Army begins amassing forces in Harasta for next East Ghouta offensive
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has begun amassing forces at the Harasta front in the East Ghouta after a 30 day ceasefire was implemented by in the areas that do not have a Jabhat Al-Nusra and Islamic State (ISIS).
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces, 4th Division, and Republican Guard will be concentrated along the Harasta, Jobar, ‘Ayn Tarma, and Arbeen fronts.
In addition to the aforementioned units, the Syrian Army is also sending shock troops from the 7th and 9th divisions to these fronts in order to strengthen their forces at this part of the East Ghouta region.
The main offensive is expected to begin next week; however, a preliminary attack has reportedly started this morning.
