50,000 Muslims pray at Qods’ Aqsa Mosque
Around 50,000 Palestinians performed Friday’s noon prayers at holy al-Aqsa Mosque, in Occupied Jerusalem, 100 days after the US President Donald Trump recognized the holy city as Israel’s capital.
Thousands of worshipers from the occupied Palestinian territories flocked to al-Aqsa Mosque at an early morning hour.
The Israeli soldiers cracked down on the worshipers and cordoned off the main entrances to Jerusalem’s Old City.
Al-Aqsa’s Imam, Ekrema Sabri, also head of the Islamic Supreme Commission, said the US “deal of the century” is a stab in the back of the Muslim nation.”
Sabri denounced the Israeli decision to rescind Jerusalemites’ ID cards, saying such bids by the Israeli Knesset are racist and oppressive.
