The Syrian Air force then pounded the strongholds of ISIL and the Al-Nusra front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Hajar al-Aswad and al-Asali regions, the TV network added.

It further said that the army’s artillery and missile units pounded terrorists’ supply lines in Hajar al-Aswad, al-Qadam, al-Asali and Yarmouk, adding that the army is to launch an imminent operation in the reigns that are under the control of ISIL and Al-Nusra in Southern Damascus.

A media outlet reported on Thursday that the Syrian army gave a 2-day ultimatum to the terrorists in Southern Damascus to leave the region before it starts a major assault against the ISIL.

The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper reported on Thursday that the Syrian army continues dispatch of new military equipment and forces to anti-ISIL operations zones in al-Yarmouk camp, Hajar al-Aswad region and parts of al-Tazamon and al-Qadam neighborhoods.

It added that the army gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the ISIL to agree with withdrawal from the region, otherwise the army would start its operations in the region.
