Iranian Air Force airdrops supplies to besieged towns in Idlib (photos)
An Iranian cargo jet airdropped supplies to the besieged Shiite towns of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya, today, despite the U.S. Secretary of State’s demands that they pull out of Syria.
According to a Syrian military report, the Iranian jet airdropped the supplies to Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya this afternoon; they received approval from the Syrian government to conduct the flight prior to delivering the supplies.
Iran has played an imperative role in supplying the two besieged towns in the Idlib Governorate, as they have maintained they will not abandon the people in Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa.
Both Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa became besieged in April 2015 when the terrorists of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham seized Idlib city and several nearby towns.
