Commander Stresses Good Cooperation between Gov’t, Armed Forces

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces General Hassan Firouzabadi underlined the good and close cooperation between the Iranian government and Armed Forces.
Firouzabadi made the remarks in Tehran on Thursday, addressing a memorial ceremony for a number of Army’s martyrs.

He reiterated that the armed forces would help the government in any activities if doomed necessary.

Firouzabadi said that Iran’s Armed Forces have so far participated in several state development projects, including construction of highways, bridges, dams and power plants which could not be carried out by other sectors.

In relevant remarks in February, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani lauded the country’s Armed Forces for their preparedness to confront any possible attacks by the enemies.

“The military strength and high deterrence power of our Armed Forces will not allow the enemy to even think of attacking Iran,” President Rouhani said, addressing senior commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy in the Southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

The Iranian president underlined that the first outcome of such preparedness will be high deterrence against the enemy.

President Rouhani pointed to military drills conducted by the Iranian Army and IRGC, and said, “These maneuvers not only help the Iranian armed forces to remain well-prepared, but it also showcases their capabilities against enemies,” the Iranian president said.

He also lauded the efforts by the IRGC Navy to secure the nearly 2,000 kilometers of maritime borders in the Southern Iran.
