Syrian Army reopens vital east Idlib crossing
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has reopened the vital Abu Dhuhour Crossing in eastern Idlib, today, a military source told Al-Masdar this afternoon.
According to the military source, the Syrian Army made the decision to reopen the Abu Dhuhour Crossing in order to allow civilians to leave the dangerous situation that is plaguing this part of the Idlib Governorate.
Earlier this month, the Syrian Army closed the Abu Dhuhour Crossing after the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham repeatedly struck the government’s positions in southeast Idlib.
However, due to the ongoing hostilities around the Idlib demilitarized zone, the Russian military has encouraged the Syrian Army to reopen the crossing for civilians to leave the battlefront.
