Iran plans to boost gas production in the South Pars gas field up to 540 million cubic meters per day (cm/d), Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh announced on Saturday.
"Increasing gas output of the South Pars is among the priorities of the oil ministry and we should materialize this important goal by developing its phases," Namdar Zanganeh told FNA on Friday.

Iran’s South Pars Gas Complex Managing-Director Ali Akbar Shabanpour praised SPGC experts and engineers for their efforts to implement and upgrade the country’s energy projects, saying that his company is currently producing almost half of the country’s gas output.
