10 Things to Follow in Islam for Better Life

Islam is the perfect way of life for those who know it as it is and Quran is a guide for the whole humanity to have a better life.
Followings are the 10 interesting lessons we can learn from the Quran to live a good life, God willing.

1- THE MOST SELFISH ONE LETTER WORD: “I” – AVOID IT!

And he had property (or fruit) and he said to his companion, in the course of mutual talk: {I am more than you in wealth and stronger in respect of men.} (Al-Kahf 18: 34)

2- THE MOST SATISFYING TWO-LETTER WORD: “WE” – USE IT!

Say: “Verily, God’s Guidance is the only guidance, and we have been commanded to submit (ourselves) to the Lord of the Worlds (mankind, jinns and all that exists); and to perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat)”, and to be obedient to God and fear Him, and it is He to Whom you shall be gathered.} (Al-An`am 6: 71-72)

3- THE MOST POISONOUS THREE-LETTER WORD: “EGO” – KILL IT!

{He said: This has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess.” Did he not know that God had destroyed before him generations, men who were stronger than him in might and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected. But the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) will not be questioned of their sins (because God knows them well, so they will be punished without account). (Al-Qasas 28: 78)

4- THE MOST USED FOUR-LETTER WORD: “LOVE” – VALUE IT!

{And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.} (Ar-Rum 30: 21)

5- THE MOST PLEASING FIVE-LETTER WORD: “SMILE” – KEEP IT!

{And that it is He (The Lord) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep;…} (Al-Najm 53: 43)

6- THE FASTEST SPREADING SIX-LETTER WORD: “RUMOUR” – IGNORE IT!

{O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear God. Verily, God is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.} (Al-Hujurat 49:12)

7- THE HARDEST WORKING SEVEN-LETTER WORD: “SUCCESS” – ACHIEVE IT!

They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (from the horror of the torment of the Day of Resurrection). That God may reward them according to the best of their deeds, and add even more for them out of His Grace. And God provides without measure to whom He wills.} (Al-Nur 24: 37-38)

8- THE MOST ENVIABLE EIGHT-LETTER WORD: “JEALOUSY” – DISTANCE IT!

{When they said: “Truly, Yusuf (Joseph) and his brother (Benjamin) are loved more by our father than we, but we are ‘Usbah (a strong group). Really, our father is in a plain error.} (Yusuf 12:8-9)

{And wish not for the things in which God has made some of you to excel others. For men there is reward for what they have earned, (and likewise) for women there is reward for what they have earned, and ask God of His Bounty. Surely, God is Ever All­ Knower of everything.} (An-Nisa 4:32)

9- THE MOST POWERFUL NINE-LETTER WORD: “KNOWLEDGE” (ABOUT ISLAM) – ACQUIRE IT!

{By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs)…}(Yasin 36: 2)

10- THE MOST ESSENTIAL TEN-LETTER WORD: “CONFIDENCE” (TRUST IN GOD’S GUIDANCE) – TRUST IT!

{Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of God], and do deeds of righteousness, their Lord will guide them through their Faith; under them will flow rivers in the Gardens of delight (Paradise).} (Yunus 10: 9)

{Say: “Nothing shall ever happen to us except what God has ordained for us. He is our Maula (Lord, Helper and Protector).” And in God let the believers put their trust.} (Al-Tawbah 9:51)

If you sincerely follow these things, you got the ‘secret’ of living a better life! In short, a happy and better life can be attained only when you follow the Quran properly, Godwilling.
