Director of the Majlis Protocol Office says 11 presidents, two prime ministers and seven parliament speakers will definitely participate in Hassan Rohani’s inauguration ceremony as Iran’s new president.

According to Press TV, in a Wednesday interview, Mohammad Yasrebi said the presidents of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Armenia, North Korea, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Sudan, Sri Lanka and Togo as well as the prime ministers of Syria and Swaziland will be present at the ceremony.
The parliament speakers of Russia, Venezuela, Algeria, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and foreign ministers of South Africa, India, Brazil, Turkey, Mauritania, Sri Lanka, Burundi and Palestine will also attend the event, he noted.
The vice presidents of Nicaragua, Tanzania, Cuba and Ghana, three deputy prime ministers and former European Union foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, are also among the attendees, Yasrebi added.
Chairman of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Mohammad-Reza Mahdavi Kani, Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the late Imam Khomeini’s grandson, Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, and Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, who is Chief of Staff of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, are among the Iranian officials who have been invited to the event, the Majlis official added.
He said other guests include senior authorities such as outgoing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani and Head of Iran’s Supreme Board of Arbitration Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi.
