13 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Syrian Army Offensives East of Homs

At least 13 militants were killed and many more were wounded in the Syrian Army’s assaults on ISIL’s defense lines and strongholds in the Eastern part of Homs province, sources said Monday.

“The Syrian army attacked the ISIL positions in al-Hayal mountain and al-maqale’eh region near al-Bayarat-Palmyra road,” the sources said, adding, “The army troops also raided the ISIL military vehicles in Tuloul al-Soud near Quaryatayn.”

“The ISIL sustained a heavy death toll in the attacks,” the sources added.

Meantime, the militant group confirmed that at least 13 of its members were killed and some others were wounded in the offensives.

The Syrian army and its allies have had good records of victories and advances against the militant groups across the Central province of Homs in the recent months.

In relevant developments on Sunday, he Syrian army and popular forces continued to target ISIL’s concentration centers and defense lines across the Central province of Homs, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

“The Syrian army troops and their popular allies, mainly from the National Defense Forces, killed or wounded scores of the ISIL militants in their joint attacks near Tuloul al-Sahleh, Abu al-Snasil hill and Tir Ma’ala village,” the army said.

“Meantime, dozens of the ISIL militants were killed or wounded in the pro-government forces’ offensives near the village of Kafr Laha in Taldo region,” the army said, adding, “The ISIL also suffered a heavy death toll as a result of the army’s attacks near the villages of Aseelah and Talf near the province’s border with Hama.”

“Also, the battlefields in the Northeastern part of al-Tar mountain were the scenes of heavy clashes between the Syrian army and the ISIL which left terrorists’ military hardware destroyed,” the army went on to say.
