Nearly 200 explosive devices were defused in the Iraqi province of Anbar by the Iraqi forces.

Major General Ali Ibrahim, the commander of al-Jzeera and al-Bdiya Operations, said in a statement that on Saturday as many as 199 explosive devises were dismantled during a military operation carried out by the security forces in the al-Sakra region, near the city of Haditha, some 180 kilometers West of the provincial capital of Ramadi.

In the same operation, “security forces were able to blow up and destroy booby-trapped vehicles driven by suicide bombers and seize 40 Katyusha rockets”, he said, adding that an ISIL sniper was also killed during the operation.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control a shrinking part of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
