200 Syrian Dignitaries gather in Tehran

Around 200 political figures form Syria will take part in Tehran’s National Dialogue Forum.

According to Mehr news agency, political personalities comprised of different parties such as Social Democratic Party, Syrian Democratic Party, Laic Democratic Party, Independent Youth Association, Kurds’ National Party, National Salvation Party, Association of National Unity Victory, and tens of other parties and groups will attend Syrian National Dialogue Forum in Tehran.

Some of the Syrian parliamentarians will also participate in the meeting.

Prominent political dignitaries from Sudan, Algeria, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq will take part in the Tehran Forum, too.

The forum will be inaugurated on Sunday with the speech of the Iranian foreign minster.

This is the first forum on Syria in which the opposition and the representatives of Bashar Al-Assad government will sit together to talk about resolving the issues.

Syria’s minister of National Reconciliation Ali Haidar is among the former critics of the government who was appointed for the post within the framework of political reforms.

He will represent the Syrian government in the forum.
