Velayati calls for probing mass killing of Nigerians

Secretary General of Islamic Awakening World Forum Ali Akbar Velayati in a statement on the occasion of massacre of the Shiite Muslims of Nigeria by the African country’s army called on the Nigerian government to bring the perpetrators into justice.

“The news on barbaric attacks of the Nigerian army on the Shiite Muslims was the source of sorrow and regret,” Velayati said.

He underlined that the people of the world have not forgotten the brutal killing of the Muslim people of Nigeria by the Nigerian army last year.

On Sunday, Nigerian soldiers opened fire on the house of Zakzaky in northern city of Zaria and killed hundreds of members of the Shiite Islamic Movement.
