Syrian Army evacuates more than 1,000 civilians from Douma
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was able to evacuate a large number of civilians through the Wafiddeen Crossing, today, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
According to the SANA report, the Syrian Army evacuated more than 1,000 civilians that were fleeing the Jaysh Al-Islam held town of Douma in the East Ghouta region.
This latest evacuation comes just 24 hours after the Syrian Army managed to ensure the safety of more than 3,000 civilians fleeing the battlefront in the town of Douma.
More civilians are expected to flee the battlefront through the Wafiddeen Crossing in the coming hours, as the Russian Reconciliation Center and Jaysh Al-Islam negotiate a peaceful resolution for the town of Douma.
