Yemeni forces shelled the gathering centers of Saudi-backed mercenaries in Midi District of the northwestern Hajjah Province, inflicting major losses on them.
According to a report carried by Yemen’s official Saba news agency, Yemeni troops on Wednesday targeted the positions of the mercenaries in Midi District with mortar rounds and claimed the lives of scores of them.
On Tuesday, the Arab country’s forces launched an attack against militants in the Nihm district of Sana’a province, a military official said.
The attack targeted their positions in Sawdah hill, where a large group of them lost their lives.
The mercenaries’ positions in the district of al- Masloob in the country’s northern province of al-Jawf were also pounded by Yemeni forces.
The attacks against the militants came in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the coalition led by the Riyadh regime.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for over three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
