To bring Justice, reason of Imam Hussain movement

Following is extracted form Imam Khomeini’s speech on Norooz, the beginning of New Year in Iran, of 1988 written in Sahifah Noor about Imam Hussain movement towards Kufa ended in Karbala Battle and his martyrdom.

In the Name of God

The most important reason for Imam Hussain’s movement was performing justice and removing injustice.

All deviations are rooted in injustice and everything apart from monotheism is wrong. These all must be removed from the religion and we, as followers of Imam Hussain, should first learn from his life, his movement and his reason of the movement which is deterring from wrong deeds.

Amongst is the matter of justice and injustice based governments, that the latter -injustice governments- must be wiped out. When our master Imam Mahdi comes, he will come for the same reason and meaning. Also reviewing all Prophets’ lives we see they spent their lives to stand against injustice of tyrants and fought with cruelty.

This fact should be a sample for all Muslims especially those who love Prophet Muhammad and his progeny, and also a sample for all people who believe in Prophets of God in any religion, all should follow their religious leaders and know what they did in their lives to follow, for example what Prophet Abraham did, or what Prophet Moses did, not passively all moved and stood against cruelty, against tyranny and injustice.

And it is what respected Iranian nation did by the Islamic revolution movement. Thanks to God that our youths revolted and changed from one condition to another which was an inner revolution.
