The group said that the detainees were violently treated and insulted as they were arrested when regime forces had carried out unlawful raids.

Al-Wefaq added that 120 raids were recorded only in November, when security forces stormed the citizens’ houses without legal permit from the general prosecution.

The group said that most of the raids were late at night, noting that they took place violently with regime forces broke doors and windows of the houses in a bid to frighten people.

Concerning the protests, the opposition group said that 33 demonstrations took place, noting that 100 of them were met by live bullets and other internationally prohibited weapons.

Al-Wefaq also said that 57 documented cases were recorded in which religious rituals were attacked by authorities during Ashura this year.
