Sayyed Ali Fadlallah hails Iran-Saudi agreement as positive for entire region

Senior Lebanese cleric has lauded the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia regarding resumption of relations as a positive move benefiting the entire region.

Seyyed Ali Fadlallah, in his remarks at the Islamic cultural center in the holy city of Najaf said the resumption of ties between Tehran and Riyadh will not be confined to the two countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The positive outcomes of the measure will be revealed in stabilizing the entire region, ending the disagreements and boosting relations.”

The senior cleric also noted that the new move for restoration of Tehran-Riyadh relations will also provide the grounds for supporting the Palestine and resistance against the most brutal attacks.

Islamic Republic of Iran and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have agreed to restore relations and reopen embassies seven years after their ties were severed.
