700 Iranian, European Specialists Participate in 2nd Int’l CTO Meeting in Iran
The congress, which has been initiated in areas of congenital, structural and valve diseases, as well as chronic obstructive vascular diseases, with the presence of the custodian of Astan Quds Razavi started at the Razavi Hospital on Wednesday.
300 lectures on new subjects, 200 of which by foreign lecturers, and 100 lectures by the Iranian physicians will be presented in fifty sections.
In this congress with a special focus on education, more than twenty live case and live inbox operations will take place at the Razavi Hospital.
At the sessions on the second scientific congress, the treatment of a large number of patients who are typically treated with catheterization and angiography are recorded and will be displayed for the participants.
In the framework of the CASPIAN Meeting 2018, a two-day practical workshop will be held on fetal heart diseases with three prominent lecturers, Professor Gurlin Charlene from England, Professor Joana Dangel from Poland and Dr. Ebrahimi from the United States in which they teach subjects on fetal heart diseases.
Ebrahim Raeisi, the custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, referred to the issue of the drugs and attention to treatment, specially for low-income groups of society, and described it a priority of Astan Quds Razavi and its social and economic activities that with regard to determining this priority, has increased the production capacity of Astan Quds Razavi medicine twice in a short time.
Also, Reza Saeedi, the director of the Razavi Hospital, said that “the hospital is trying to provide the necessary conditions for scientific advance more and more by bringing together medical experts in the path of scientific excellence”.
Meantime, Mohammad Mahdinejad Nouri, Astan Quds Razavi’s scientific deputy at the congress, stated that the acquisition of scientific authority in Mashhad with the cooperation of doctors and medical and scientific institutions could be materialized, and said, “Our goal was trendsetting in the medical area and also the development of the capabilities in this field.”
Also, Fereydoun Nouhi, the director of the Iranian Cardiology Association, said that “holding of congresses, meetings and conferences, which specifically promote scientific and quality services for patients, is very valuable and the cardiology congresses at the Razavi Hospital are among such congresses in Iran and its continuation can be very successful in the coming years”.
Mashhad city in Khorassan Razavi province is hosting the 2nd International Congress of Iranian and European Heart Physicians for 3 days.
Dr. Nouhi announced in a press conference at the central office of Astan Quds Razavi in Tehran earlier that “the 2nd Iran-Europe CTO-Caspian Meeting will be held at Razavi Hospital, a subsidiary of Astan Quds Razavi, in two very important areas of congenital, structural and valve diseases, as well as chronic obstruction of the vessels on December 5 to 8”.
He stated that the main cause of death in Iran is cardiovascular diseases, adding, “Congenital heart diseases and healthcare in this area, which is recently undertaken by Iranian experienced physicians through non-surgical procedures, is the main subject of the reports and lectures of Caspian International Congress. In fact, the activities now underway at the congress have already been done through surgery and now through the skin as a semi-invasive or nonsurgical invasive procedure.”
“The importance of this congress is its educational aspects for young Iranian cardiologists, since prominent professors from more than twenty countries of the world along with experienced Iranian professors will participate in the congress and train the participants live,” Dr. Nouhi said.
He underlined that more than 600 individuals have registered to attend the congress, saying, “Lateral symposia on devices such as cardiovascular nursing, heart diseases and specific imaging of the embryonic heart, each of which alone necessitate major congresses, will be discussed in this 4-day scientific program under those two main topics that we hope will be applicable to all participants.”
