22 Yemeni groups and political parties endorsed an agreement to unite against Saudi Arabia’s aggression against their country.

The leaders of 22 Yemeni groups convened in Sana’a after 8 months of the Saudi-led military strikes against Yemen, and signed the covenant to reinvigorate unity among the media and political fronts to terminate the Saudi aggression.

The agreement that has been compiled in 6 paragraphs also welcomed the UN efforts to hold a new round of negotiations to settle the crisis in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 225 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 6,919 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
