Nearly two dozen passengers have been injured when a South Korean Asiana Airlines Airbus A320 overran a runway at an airport in western Japanese city of Hiroshima.

On Tuesday, 23 people received minor injuries when the Asiana Airlines Flight OZ162 went off the runway while landing.

“Around 23 passengers were injured, but no one was killed,” an unnamed local fire department official said, adding, “So far we have heard that all of the injuries were not serious.”

Reports indicate that the rest of the passengers and crew members managed to escape through the plane’s emergency exits.

Officials say 74 passengers and seven crew members were on the airplane, which had taken off at Seoul’s Incheon Airport in South Korea.

The cause of the incident is not clear yet.

According to Japan’s national public broadcasting organization, NHK, aviation authorities closed down the Hiroshima Airport following the incident.

Back in July 2013, Asiana Flight 214 crash-landed in San Francisco, leaving three passengers dead.
