50 Palestinians were detained by Zionist Israeli Occupation Forces in June

50 Palestinian citizens were detained by the Zionist Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in West Bank city of Al Khalil in June ,2011.

Head of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club in Al Khalil, Amjad Al Najjar said in a press statement released on Monday that 7 Palestinian children, 10 students and 16 others suffering different diseases were among the detained prisoners.

Al Najjar identified the patient prisoners as Nadi Al Shawamra who suffers from brain nerves disease, Rabah Hrizat suffers from high blood pressure and breathing problems, Mohammed Khalil al Horoub suffers from epilepsy, and Tamer al Atrash who suffers from lung cancer.

He stated that among the detained prisoners was Majdi Zamel who suffers from heart attack, Naser Al Horoub who suffers from Hepatitis, and Qassim Abu Odeh who suffers from Renal failure.

The Palestinian prisoner club pointed out that most of the prisoners who were detained faced trumped-up charges according to the testimony of soldiers and settlers.

The prisoners were transferred to the military court in Ofer prison, where unjust sentences and financial penalties were imposed on them that reached during June, 2011 in al Khalil only up to 65 thousand New Israeli Shekels.
