5,300 reporters, photojournalists to cover Quds Day rallies

More than 5,300 reporters and photojournalists will cover this year’s Quds Day rallies across Iran, according to an official with Iran’s Islamic Propagation Coordination Council.

More than 160 of the reporters and photojournalists are from foreign media, Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif, the head of the Intifada (Palestinian uprising) and Quds Center at Iran’s Islamic Propagation Coordination Council told reporters on Saturday.

The first difference between this year’s Quds Day and Quds Days in previous years is the absence of US- and Zionist-led terrorists, Sharif said.

The second feature of this year’s Quds Day is the upper-hand of the Resistance Front which has improved its strategic depth over past years, the official added.

‘On the eve of Quds Day, we were witnessing Resistance Front dealing a blow to the Zionist regime in Golan Heights after 70 years.’

General Sharif said that this year’s Quds Day is also unique for another reason as relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the Holy Quds has enraged Muslims across the world.

He said that Palestinians’ rallies over the past 10 weeks, which left 120 martyrs and 2,000 injured, has also made this year’s Quds Day different from previous years.

General Sharif said that the root cause of the insecurities in the world and even in the Europe is the existence of the Zionist regime.
