6th Palestine Conference in support of Intifada held in Tehran

On February 21st, Iran inaugurated the 6th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada to emphasize its support for the Palestinian nation.

This year’s conference in support of the Palestinian Intifada was held as 80 delegations and 700 guests from around the world attended the meeting. The Zionist regime has occupied Palestine for over 70 years and has resorted to all sorts of oppression to force Palestinians from their own land. Iran’s solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is that the people of Palestine should hold a referendum to establish their own government. Islamic Republic of Iran does not recognize the two-state solution as legitimate and believes that Israelis have no place on this land.

This year’s conference coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, the 70th anniversary of Palestine’ division and the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem al-Quds occupation by the Israeli regime. Israelis are a group of people who had no land and managed to occupy Palestine with the help of England and the United States in 1948. British mandate over Palestine and the Israeli Declaration of Independence sparked a full-scale war.

Repeated attempts to end the hostility between the Israelis and the Palestinians have failed over the past seven decades.

The Oslo agreement signed between the Israeli regime and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) on September 13, 1993, meant to effectively bring the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to its end by means of territorial concessions. Some 23 years into the Oslo negotiations, every single peace talks have failed, around 15,000 Palestinian homes have been destroyed and 11,000 Palestinians forced out of Jerusalem al-Quds.
