8th National Energy Conference opens in Tehran

The 8th National Energy Conference started work here Tuesday for two days.

The conference is of great important to the Islamic Republic and other states in the Middle East due to the country’s strategic situation in the region.

It focuses on ‘Management, Creativity and Innovation in Energy: Today’s Need, Tomorrow’s Necessity,’ an official of Iran’s national energy committee said.

Davoud Manzoor elaborated on the conference’s objectives and said it aims to prepare the ground for further interaction between policy makers, managers and researchers in the field of energy.

It also aims at optimization of energy consumption and increase of privatization, the official added.
