A wave of cyber-attacks to hit Israel by Hacktivists

A hacking group has threatened to launch a new spate of cyber-attacks on Israel next month in retaliation to its crimes against the Palestinian people.

According to Yisrael HaYom newspaper, an offshoot of the “Anonymous” hacking group calling itself “AnonGhost” threatened to subject Israel to an “electronic holocaust” on the seventh of April.

“Greetings World, we are Anonymous, this is a message to the foolish Zionist entity, we are coming back to punish you again for your crimes in the Palestinian territories, as we do every year on 7 April, all we see is continuous aggression, bombing, killing and kidnapping of the Palestinian people,” the group stated in a recording posted on YouTube website.

AnonGhost had launched cyber-attacks against Israeli targets for the past seven years, each time on April 7. However, the offensive it is preparing this time is expected to be more damaging.

Its hackers will target personal accounts, banks and websites, including ones belonging to the Israeli government and its army.
