Abu Zahri: PA arrest campaign disrupts national reconciliation

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zahri denounced the broad arrest campaign launched by the PA on Tuesday against Hamas activists in city of Halhoul in occupied West Bank.

He said in a press release on Thursday that the continuous PA arrests and violations against Hamas movement and its activists in the occupied West Bank do not provide the appropriate conditions to achieve the national reconciliation and general election and do not serve the positive atmosphere in Cairo negotiations.

Hamas calls on PA president Mahmoud Abbas to issue orders to stop the PA security agencies’ violations and unjustified practices and to end the political arrests and release all the political prisoners.

It is noted the detainee in PA prison Abd Allah Akr was transferred to hospital after his health deterioration due to his open hunger strike since twelve days in protest against the PA’s rejection to implement the Court’s release decision.
