Abu Zuhri: The Palestinian leadership would keep backing prisoners

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said the issue of Palestinian prisoners after their triumph over their Israeli jailer would remain a priority to the legitimate Palestinian leadership.

Spokesman Abu Zuhri told a news conference on Monday that all options would also be open until all prisoners are released from Israeli jails.

The spokesman hailed the deal between the Palestinian captive movement and the Slaughterer Israeli prison authority as “the triumph of dignity” and a prelude to further achievements.

He also implied that the hunger strike battle was preplanned by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza as part of the pledge it had made to keep supporting the prisoners after its swap deal last year with the Israeli occupation state.

For his part, Palestinian minister of prisoners’ affairs Attallah Abul Sabeh, on a visit to Cairo, hailed the deal as a “historical victory” achieved by the hunger strikers in Zionist Israeli jails.

The minister expressed his thanks in a press release to the Egyptian leadership for its role in brokering a deal between the hunger strikers and their jailers, and stressed the need to bind Israel to respect its agreement with the prisoners.
