Ahmadinejad Congratulates Sayyed Nasrallah, Hails Resistance on Liberation Day

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad felicitated Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Liberation day, as he hailed the victory of the resistance which has “annihilated the Tel Aviv’s regime’s delusions of grandeur.”

Sayyed Nasrallah late on Wednesday received Iranian ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi, who submitted a message from Ahmadinejad.

The liberation of southern Lebanon by the resistance movement “laid the groundwork for the great victory of the Lebanese nation in the 33-day war with Israel as well as Muslims’ awakening aimed at standing up for their legitimate rights and fighting against oppression, hegemony and occupation,” the Iranian President said in his message.

“The crushing of the Zionist regime’s (Israel) delusions of grandeur by the brave men of resistance rocked the foundations of occupation, aggression and oppression across the world and brought the glad tidings of the ultimate victory of right against wrong,” the message added.

Meanwhile, and on the same occasion, Ahmadinejad also congratulates his Lebanese counterpart, as he sent another message to Michel Sleiman.

“The epic liberation of southern Lebanon is the reminder of the sacrifice, resistance and resolve of the Lebanese nation who has been seeking dignity, honor and independence in pursuit of justice, sustainable peace and destruction of oppression for all human beings,” part of Iranian president’s message to Sleiman said.
