Ahmadinejad: Quds Day calls for justice

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the Quds Day is the day of call for justice and could be a starting point for an end to the “Zionist regime.”

“The Quds Day is the day of all those who seek justice and freedom and oppose oppression,” Ahmadinejad said in an Iftar banquet for the ambassadors of Muslim countries in the capital Tehran on Thursday.

“I hope that this year’s [International] Quds Day could be a starting point for the complete liberation of Palestinian territories, the return of [Palestinian] refugees, and formation of a powerful Palestinian government, and also for an end to the demolition of injustice in the world,” the Iranian president added.

Ahmadinejad says that unity among the world nations is necessary to put an end to the domination of hegemonic powers and Zionists.

He said that Western powers use Zionist Israel as a tool to impede the progress of the countries in the Middle East.

“Today, the Zionist regime (Israel) has become an excuse for the domination of Western hegemonic powers over the fate of the regional nations and a pretext to halt the progress and prosperity of the countries and nations in the region.”

“Once any of the regional countries want to have scientific growth, they are immediately repressed over accusations that they intend to threaten the security of the Zionist regime,” he argued.

The Iranian chief executive described Israel as a “prejudiced, racist and terrorist regime” which persistently jeopardizes nations and wages wars and commits crimes against them.

“To resist against the Zionist regime and decry its existence in fact means defending all nations and protecting the human dignity all over the world,” he went on to say.

The late founder of the Islamic Republic and the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Sayyed Rohollah Imam Khomeini, in August 1979 declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as the Quds Day, calling for international rallies in support of Palestinians and against Zionist Israel.
