Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) related on the role of media in projection of the crimes committed by Takfiri groups and also tarnishing the image of Islam in the world.

He slammed Al Jazeera, BBC and Al Arabia in expansion of Takfir (excommunication) noting,” BBC is stressing to introduce Daesh as an Islamic state and show the war in Syria and Iraq as a Shia Sunni conflict.”

He added,” If someone is arrested over a wrongdoing in Iran, BBC stresses to introduce the person as a Sunni Muslim and if an issue breaks up in an Islamic country then it is highlighted as a Shia Sunni conflict, a strategy which is quite known to all of us.”
