Al-Qaeda’s Jordanian Emir Masterminds Al-Nusra’s Chemical Attacks in Syria

The al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) possesses chemical weapons and experts to use them, and its chemical operations in Syria are masterminded by a Jordanian Emir in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, a Syrian daily reported.

According to al-Watan newspaper, the center for leading all al-Nusra’s chemical operations is Eastern Ghouta and the attacks are commanded by a Jordanian terrorist named Molla Abubakr Ordoni, nom de guerre ‘Chemical Emir’.

Intelligence shows that Molla Abubakr has earlier fought in Afghanistan and held meetings with most al-Qaeda commanders and enjoys high skills in using unconventional weapons and combining chemical agents as a result of his training courses in Afghanistan and his later practical experiments in Syria, the report continued.

Informed sources described him as the most dangerous Jordanian man in Eastern Ghouta, and revealed that the ISIL has made much attempts to recruit him but he has turned down all offers, the paper said.

In relevant remarks on Sunday, a senior commander of Syria’s Baath battalions revealed that the terrorist groups have used chemical weapons against the army in Hama, noting that the ISIL and al-Nusra Front launch gas attacks against the government forces whenever they are losing their ground.

“After liberation and cleansing operations in the village of al-Majdal in Hama province, we witnessed use of chemical weapons by the terrorists,” Mohannad al-Haj Ali, also a member of the Syrian parliament, said.

Stressing that Jeish al-Izza terrorist group has used chemical weapons, including the use of chlorine gas, he said, “Most members of the group are foreigners and since they have more knowledge about such weapons compared with other groups, they have been supplied with them.”

Expressing regret that this is not the first time such dangerous weapons are being used by Jeish al-Izza terrorist group, al-Haj Ali said that the current battles in Hama are aimed at making the army busy and deviate its focus from the battles in Aleppo and Homs.
