Resistance tunnel used by Israel as a flimsy pretext for new war on GazaAbu Obeida, Spokesman for the Hamas armed wing-Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades has confirmed in a press conference held at the Shihab News Agency’s office in Gaza city at 9:45 pm, March, 20th, 2014, that the recently discovered tunnel by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) is not new, but an old one.

The spokesman for Al Qassam Brigades stressed that it was the stormy weather that hit the area last week and caused a part of the tunnel to collapse that exposed it, and not Israel’s intelligence.

He said that members of al- Qassam managed to fix a tunnel that was exposed several months ago, parts of which were destroyed by the Israeli IOF.

Moreover, Abu Obeida said that alleged claims by Israel aim at inciting against our people and Gaza as well as preparing for a new aggression on Gaza.

Al Qassam during its press conference issued a warning to the IOF, saying the Palestinian resistance knows how to claim a heavy price from Israel, asserting that the preparedness of the resistance organizations in Gaza is a part of the protection of the Palestinian people from “repeated Israeli aggression.”
