Aleppo offensive to start within 10 days: Al-Mayadeen

The Syrian and Russian offensive in the Aleppo Governorate is expected to start in the next 10 days as reinforcements from the coastal city of Latakia pour into this large province in northern Syria. According to Al-Mayadeen’s Moscow Bureau, a Russian General told the Lebanese news channel that this massive military operation will begin within the next 10 days.

No further details were provided by Al-Mayadeen; however, if true, this offensive will begin a lot sooner than it was originally anticipated. In preparation for this government offensive, the extremist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) have reportedly sent a large number of fighters to Aleppo in order to repel the coming assault; this was reported by Sputnik News.
