Anjuman Jafaria observe World Qods Day in Alipur

Thousands of Muslims of Alipur city in India’s Karnataka state, on Friday took to streets and staged a rally against the US and Israel to mark the World Qods Day.

Chanting slogans against Israeli illegal occupation of Masjid Al-Aqsa, the demonstrators including the children of Nobel School, Alipur, under the banner of Anjuman Jafaria, condemned the Israeli Regime and its allies for their atrocities on innocent Palestinian people.

Earlier, explaining the essence of the World Qods Day, the speakers, Maulana Qasim Abbas, Maulana Ali Reza and Maulana Azhar Hussain, while addressing the gathering, in one voice said: “It is a day when the oppressed should become equipped against the oppressors and they should rub their noses in the dirt. It’s a day when committed individuals are preferred over hypocrites”.

They said that Imam Khomeini (R.A.), leader of the Islamic Revolution by announcing the last Friday of Ramadan as the World Qods Day, taught Muslims to demonstrate their unity and spare no efforts to fulfill their aspiration. He (Imam), having mystic personality, tried to administrate justice and equality to defend the rights of the Muslims as well as other communities in the world.

Later-on a Memorandum was submitted to the Governor, demanding Indian government to pay attention to the horrible conditions imposed upon innocent Palestinians by Israel.

Memorandum also urged the government to use its influence to pressurize Israel to stop the atrocities and vacate the illegally occupied Arab land.

Meanwhile, under the banner of different Muslim Political, Social and Religious organizations, huge number of people from different walks of life took to the streets in their respective city, town, village with the banners depicting anti-Israel, anti-US slogans and in solidarity with innocent Palestinians.

The last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramazan is observed all over the world as the World Qods Day.

On this day, Muslims around the globe hold demonstrations to denunciate atrocities of Zionist regime against Palestinians and the Zionist’s illegal occupation of the Beit-ul-Moqaddas.
