Ansarullah Says Committed to Sweden Agreement, Lashes out at Saudi Escalation

Yemen’s Ansarullah revolutionary movement said on Sunday it was committed to the UN-sponsored Sweden agreement, condemning any attempt Saudi-led aggression forces to distort the deal.

Ansarullah political bureau affirmed in a statement “its consistent and primary uphold to the Sweden agreement”, stressing on “the need of implementing it without distortion.”

The statement condemned the military escalation carried out by aggression forces in Hodeidah and their “persistence to mobilize forces in the area and carry out intensive assaults in Ad-durayhimi district.”

The group meanwhile, slammed the UN over its silence “in front of these danger escalations, despite knowing all these arbitrary actions.”

The statement also noted that “this escalation assures the aggression countries’ unseriousness in implementing the Sweden agreement.”

Ansarullah blamed the Saudi-led aggression forces for the escalation, warning that such step threatens political settlement in Yemen.

The group also called on UN, the local and international humanitarian organizations to move seriously and effectively toward lifting the siege imposed by Saudi-led mercenaries on Ad-durayhimi district, in a bid to put an end to sufferings of the citizens in the city.

On the other hand, the statement touched upon Zionist attacks against Palestinian people, reiterating its support to the Palestinian resistance.

The group also voiced support to Bahraini opposition leader, Sheikh Ali Salman, who got last week a life sentence by the regime’s supreme court.
