‘Arab states attending on nuclear talks; irrelevant staff’

The head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has said Arab states’ attending on nuclear talks is irrelevant.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi in an interview to Mehr News reacted to the demand by the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council members that they participate in Iran and Powers nuclear negotiations.

“The Arab states’ attending in the talks was irrelevant. The Powers negotiate with us, since they have legal character; since they are permanent members of the UN Security Council; because they mounted cruel sanctions against us; they passed resolutions against us,” he added.

“However we evaluate sanctions and resolutions cruel, negotiation with them matters,” Boroujerdi said.

“But the Arab states’ attendance on the nuclear talks is irrelevant,” said the head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission,

“I wonder why countries with no nuclear capability and with no leverage in negotiations would demand their participation in nuclear talks. Even it is not worthy of consideration.”

About Obama’s recent remarks on Iran’s nuclear issue during a Zionist gathering, Boroujerdi told that Zionists were not even legitimate to express views on Iran’s nuclear issue. He emphasized that Zionists were the major threat to the Middle East.

“They are not member of the NPT, so they would not have any commitment to the international community. They have also more than 200 nuclear warheads, thus the most threatening factor of international peace and security,” he said, and that “Netanyahu and Zionists seek to cover on this issue through cry wolf.”
