‘Arrogant powers fear robust Iran’

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has insisted that ‘rogue’ powers in the world seek to block the rise of the Islamic Republic into a global economic and industrial heavyweight.

President Ahmadinejad said Friday that ‘evil powers’ across the world have joined forces to ‘put the brakes on Iran’s progress.’

The Iranian chief executive made the remarks in Iran’s northwestern city of Ardabil, where he further stated that such elements are fully aware that they would have no position in the world once Iran emerges as a major economic and industrial powerhouse, IRNA reported.

The Iranian president pointed out that global ‘arrogant powers’ have difficulty digesting Iran’s self-reliance.

President Ahmadinejad also described scholarly elites as the determining and driving force behind a society’s development.

He stressed that a nation who attempts to conquer the ‘apex of progress’ and serves as a role model for other nations needs to make good use of all available opportunities.

The head of Iran’s executive branch said that imperialist powers with billions of dollars in assets are still not satisfied with the current state of affairs in the world.
