123 people killed by foreign-backed militants in Aleppo

At least 123 people have been killed by foreign-backed militants in Syria’s northern governorate of Aleppo, official SANA news agency reported.

The news agency noted on Saturday that most victims of the massacre committed by the armed terrorists in Khan al-Assal town were civilians.

The armed terrorist group, Ansar al-Khalifa Brigade, admitted committing the massacre in Khan al-Assal. The group’s militants mutilated the dead bodies and threw them in a big hole outside the town. They also incinerated a number of the dead bodies.

Most of the town is currently under the control of the militants.

A Russian-led inquiry has already revealed that militants carried out a chemical attack in Khan al-Assal on the edge of the northern city of Aleppo in March, which killed 26 people.

On May 6, UN investigator, Carla Del Ponte, said testimony from victims of the conflict in Syria suggests militants have used the nerve agent, sarin.

Sarin is a colorless and highly toxic nerve agent that can cause convulsions, paralysis and death within minutes if it is absorbed through inhalation, ingestion, or contact with skin or eyes.

The recent massacre came as the Western governments continue providing the militants with weapons.

Reports say that Saudi Arabia has signed a 50-million-dollar deal with Israeli army to supply the foreign-backed militants with old Israeli military equipment and arms.

The weapons include different kinds of anti-tank missiles, military vehicles, artillery equipment, and night vision devices.

Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to the United Nations, more than 100,000 people have been killed and millions of others displaced in the violence.
