At least 9 killed after church wall collapses in Peru

At least nine people were killed and a dozen injured in Huanuco, Peru on Monday, Wednesday 25, after a wall collapsed at an evangelical church.

According to local media, a local home was adapted to a church. A makeshift wall collapsed as faithful were praying. Officials reported the wall may have collapsed because of wet weather in the area.

Many of those injured are reportedly in stable condition at local hospitals.

Many evangelical groups set up places of worship in rural Peru, often in local homes extended and adapted to become a church.
