Bardawil: Egyptian public prosecutor’s charges against Hamas political

images_News_2014_01_28_bardawil_300_0Hamas movement refused the charges leveled against it by the Egyptian public prosecutor on Tuesday that accused Hamas of being involved in freeing Egyptian ousted president Mohammed Morsi from jail before his election.

Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil, a Hamas leader, told Quds Press that the charges leveled during Morsi’s trial hearing were “fabrications” meant to smear Palestinian resistance.

He said that such accusations were “political”, adding, “We are sick and tired of those accusations that are repeated every now and then by current Egyptian officials”.

“We have repeatedly and arduously denied involvement of Hamas in Egyptian internal affairs”, Bardawil said, adding that the charges were meant to strike Hamas and distort its image.

“The (recurrent) charges against Hamas are a shame on all those who try to distort the image of a resistance movement that is fighting for the entire Islamic Umma’s honor,” the Hamas leader said.

Bardawil stressed that Hamas would continue along the path of resistance and would never divert its endeavor away from liberating the land and Islamic and Christian holy sites.
