Basij Commander Renews Warning on US Terrorist Training Bases Near Iran

“The Americans have bases to train terrorists in the Eastern parts of Iran and they have set up certain centers in the West (of Iran) to this end,” General Naqdi told reporters in Tehran on Monday.

He said that the investment that the Americans make to train terrorists and stir insecurity inside Iran is no less than the budget they they have spent in Iraq and Syria to this end.

Yet he ensured that Iran is well aware of these plots and has defused them.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, top military aide to the Iranian Supreme Leader Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi warned of the US and NATO’s intensified military activities near the Eastern borders of Iran, describing them as attempts to create insecurity and destabilize the country.

“Today, the NATO and the US are after developing military bases and fomenting insecurity in the Eastern and Southeastern parts of the Islamic Iran,” Rahim Safavi said, addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 9th congress of the Iranian Association of Geopolitics (IAG) in Tehran.
