BCHR concerned about Bahraini teenager

Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) says it is seriously concerned about the health condition of a teenager who has been in detention since January.

According to Press TV, the BCHR said on Sunday that Sadeq Jafar Al-Asfoor, 17, was arrested without any clear charges, adding that he has not been receiving any medical care while in prison.
According to reports, the teenager was visiting a released prisoner in the village of Markh on January 8, 2014, when Bahraini regime forces opened fire on him. The teenager was detained following the incident.
The BCHR urged the international community to put pressure on Bahraini authorities to free the 17-year-old immediately.
The organization also called for adequate medical treatment for all activists behind bars in the country.
